Lauren Hope Krass

Lauren Hope Krass

Comedian and writer Lauren Hope Krass got her start in comedy in the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina. There, she performed improv and standup regularly at Theatre 99. Her material ranges from the ridiculous to the brutally honest. Her self-deprecating humor combined with a dash of charm creates a unique perspective relevant to any audience. Catch her all over performing either stand-up, story-telling, or perhaps one of her original songs.

Kinda cool stuff: She received 3rd place in the Charleston Comedy Festival’s Standup Competition in 2012 and 2013 as well as 1st place in the Corona Dave Ugly Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is Standup competition in 2014. She has performed in The She Devil Comedy Festival, The Cinderblock Comedy Festival, The Annapolis Comedy Festival, The Charleston Comedy Festival, as well as Jailbreak Art Festival. She has been a featured storyteller on Kevin Allison’s RISK! Lauren is also an award winning playwright. One of her first original plays “”Addiction to Donuts and Jerks”” was featured in Piccolo Spoletto. Her most recent and treasured project is her original one woman musical titled “Princess Charming”. The show has now been well received by audiences in Charleston, SC and New York City. In February of ’16, she was written about in the New York Times Arts section regarding her show, “Laughter School Special.”
